Les Savy Fav return to Festsaal for a great sounding orgy of great new songs from their equally great new album Root for Ruin hilariously promoted by frontman Tim Harrington in the video on that last link, if you’ve bothered to open it up you’ll know what I mean.
Harrington being famous for taking his clothes off at almost every show they’ve ever played simply adds to the quality of this Rhode Island band. Having released three albums between ’97 and 2001 it seemed they were too busy working their day jobs but 2007′s Let’s stay friends moved Les Savy Fav in a more successful direction having as it does instant classics like Patty Lee and What wolves would do not to mention that it earned them a live appearance on Conan O’Brien in the States.
Luckily it hasn’t gone to their heads as they’ve continued to release on Frenchkiss Records, the label owned by bass player Syd Butler. It seems to be working out for Les Savy Fav, Let’s get out of here their new single is another worthy chart-topper if ever you heard one.
